A history of innovation

For over thirty years, K-FLEX has been synonymous with quality, expertise and passion in the elastomeric thermal and acoustic insulation market. From a small local factory to a multinational manufacturing company, K-FLEX has been constantly evolving thanks to its inner inclination to innovate.

1989

K-FLEX was founded in 1989 in Roncello, located in the north of Milan, Italy, by Amedeo Spinelli, who is currently the Group’s president.

1993

K-FLEX quickly develops its presence in the elastomeric thermal and acoustic insulation market and opens its distribution center in France.

1995

K-FLEX started to expand its business in European markets. Sales offices in Barcelona, Spain, were opened.

1998

K-FLEX opens new offices in Madrid, Spain.

1999

Almost ten years after its foundation, K-FLEX begins its expansion outside Europe opening the first of its two manufacturing plants (Guangzhou, Suzhou) in the Republic of China.

2000

From 2000 to 2009 K-FLEX expands its distribution network opening new offices in Scandinavia (2005), United Kingdom (2006), Romania (2008), Japan (2008), Ukraine (2009) and South Korea (2009).

2001

K-FLEX enters into the US market through the acquisition of Rubatex’s mechanical insulation business and setups a production and distribution center in North Carolina. Today the facility is 750,000 sf in size and produce elastomeric tubing and continuous rolls, cross-linked PE continuous rolls, expanded PE tubing, and acoustic barrier & absorber products.

2005

K-FLEX opens its production plant in Russia becoming the first and largest producer of modern effective thermal insulation materials in the CIS countries.

2008

K-FLEX acquires BevEx Ltd, leading suppliers of beverage dispense equipment across the UK and around the world. The acquisition offers an important diversification opportunity to K-FLEX through its presence in the Food & Beverage sector.

K-FLEX inagurates its production plants in Malaysia.

2009

K-FLEX inagurates its production plants in India.

2011

K-FLEX keeps growing thanks to the opening of new production plants in Poland and Dubai.

2014

K-FLEX keeps expanding its production facilities in Russia, Poland, India and US and changes its legal form in LTD.

In June, the company changed its legal form from limited liability comapany (S.r.l) to joint stock company (S.p.A)

2016

K-FLEX makes the acquisition of SAGI and ARMA DECOUP Company, which activities includes: design, thermal studies, prototyping, manufacturing and cutting thermal and acoustic insulations, insulating pipe.

2017

The plant in USA was extended towards the biggest and most modern plant worldwide.
Also the Polish plant was extended and represents the biggest and most modern plant in Europe.

2018

A new production site in Egypt was completed. Also our Logistics Centre "K-FLEX Logistikzentrum Leipzig-Halle" in Germany opened its doors, becoming the biggest distribution centre for elastomeric foams in the whole of Europe.

K-FLEX opens a new 38000m2 plant in Malaysia.

2019

A new production site in Vietnam, of 12000 m2, has been opened in support of the asian region market request.

K-FLEX enhanced their Polish factory by adding in a new polyethylene plant and inaugurated the most important logistics center in Spain located in Madrid.

2020

A new production site in Mexico will be opened to support the growing of South American market.

In Poland the company has done a further expansion of an additional 12,000 m2.
